Directions
Pour boiling water over oats and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream together butter, white and brown sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Add oatmeal mixture and fold in. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 – 35 minutes. Frosting recipe follows:
