Directions
Place meat in a roasting pan with about 4 cups of water. Add salt and pepper and onions. Roast, covered, at 350 degrees until tender (slightly pink inside) for about 2½ hours. Add the following ingredients to the pan juices:
Ingredients
- 1-6 Pound beef chuck or round roast
- 3 Large onions, roughly chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer a few minutes. Add sliced beef and heat through. Serve on hoagie buns with a little of the broth on top.
- 1 Teaspoon onion salt
- 1 Teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 Teaspoon oregano
