Directions
Sift together flour and salt. Cut in lard with pastry blender. Sprinkle water over flour mixture, one tablespoon at a time, gently tossing with a fork. Repeat until all moistened. Gather up with fingers and form into a ball. Roll out according to specific pie you are making.

- 1½ Cups flour
- 3/4 Teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 Cup lard
- 2½ Tablespoons water
To Make a two-crust pie:
- 2 Cups flour
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 2/3 Cup lard
- 1/4 Cup water
