Directions
Cook brats (pronounced “brats” in WI) on outdoor charcoal grill; can be done a day in advance. Place brats and sliced onions into large kettle. Pour enough beer to cover well. Bring to a boil; simmer one hour adding more beer, if necessary. Drain off beer; serve brats with cooked onions.

- 20 to 25 Bratwursts
- 2 Large onions, sliced
- 1 to 2 Quarts inexpensive beer (a rarity in WI)
