Directions
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add salt. Beat egg yolks until light. Cream butter with the powdered sugar. Mix until crumbly. Add egg yolks and vanilla, mix well. Add spices. Add egg whites and mix well. Batter will keep 3-4 weeks in the refrigerator. You can also freeze it.
This is a great recipe for a typical Tom and Jerry, but at my house we mix it with warm milk! My making this batter is what kicks off the holiday season for my family and once I start making it, the boys won’t let me stop until spring!

- 1 Teaspoon allspice
- 1 Teaspoon cloves
