Directions

Combine sugar and flour. Sprinkle 1/3 cup sugar mixture on bottom of pie crust.

Fill pan 1/2 full with apples. Sprinkle another 1/3 cup sugar mixture. Fill pan with remaining apples. Sprinkle another 1/3 cup sugar mixture over top. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Sprinkle a dash of nutmeg. Add butter. Roll out rest of crust, cut in wheat design and place over pie filling. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour.
